RAF NimrodHellenic Air Force Canadair CL-415:
This impressive picture of this Hellenic Air Force Canadair CL-415 is a special SAR version, and belongs to 383 Moira, it is used mainly for fire figting and also for sea rescue operations. This photograph was taken on the 13 May 2006 at Dekelia/Tatoi Air Base (LGTT), and was kindly sent in by Costas Krallis, SV1XV, and should not be reproduced without his permission. This RAF Nimrod belonged to 41 Squadron, and is the type of aircraft used for Maritime Reconaissance and Search & Rescue missions. (338.0kb)

This old shot was taken at the RIAT at RAF Fairford in the 1980s I think it was. The theme that years was Search & Rescue, and this aircraft had come over from Canada to take part. (301.0kb)

USCG AircraftUS Coast Guard Rescue Aircraft:

This shot was again taken at Fairford, and this very impressive aircraft from Elizabeth City, won an award as one of the best aircraft in the show. (358.0kb)
