All of my bears are hand-stitched from mohair, in a wide variety of types and colours. Most are "1 of 1" artist bears or small editions, and they all have their own individual character. Most are thread jointed, though I do sometimes use a cotter-pin joint for the head. They're stuffed with polyester, with a generous quantity of steel shot in their tummies, arms and legs, so they're heavy and floppy but poseable. Noses are embroidered, or hand-moulded, and the faces may be thread sculpted and hand-tinted as well. Eyes are generally black glass. Paw-pads are made from trimmed mohair or felt, sometimes with sewn claws, thread sculpting or embroidered pads. Perhaps you can't find exactly what you want, or you're looking for a bear for a specific occasion? Please contact me, if that's the case - I'm more than happy to accept commissions, though it's best to allow several weeks notice for these. All my bears come complete with a hang-tag, and a heart. Many also have hand-made accessories and clothes. My teddy bears are for collectors only and are not suitable for children under the age of 14 years. Every effort has been made to describe and depict the bears accurately. |
