Barney

Barney and Quackers Come on, it's bath time! Barney and Quackers Barney Little Barney used to hate bath-time. It seemed such a waste of time, and always meant he had to stop what he was doing and put all his toys away. Then there was the soap in the eyes, and getting his hair washed (a real drag when you're furry from head to toe), and then getting out, cold and dripping wet. Finally, when all the fuss was over, it was time to go to sleep.

Just recently, though, he's begun to change his mind, because he's found a new friend. Whenever it's time for his bath, Quackers the duck is waiting for him. Quackers doesn't do much, it's true - he drifts up the bath, and then down, and sometimes round in circles; but he's good company, all the same. Barney has tried very hard to sink him, or at least get him to float upside-down, but somehow Quackers always bounces back! Now, when it's time for bed, Barney looks forward to his bath, so long as he can play with his beloved Quackers. In fact, he's grown so attached to Quackers that he's taken to carrying him around, even when it's not bath-time.

Barney is made from gold German mohair, and has been hand-shaded to bring out his cute features. His face has been carefully scissor-sculpted, his nose is embroidered with perle cotton, and he has black glass eyes. He's filled with steel shot and polyfill, which gives him a lifelike, weighty feel. He has a cotter-pin joint for his head, and his arms and legs are thread jointed, for lots of posing possibilities. His paw-pads are handpainted. Standing (which he can do all by himself), he's approximately 5" tall.

Barney is a "1 of 1" artist bear - none of my bears are exactly the same, as they are all hand-stitched and have their own unique character.
