Little Blossom is very fond of flowers. She likes nothing better than to wander among the flower beds in the garden on a sunny day. Most of all, she likes roses, especially scented ones, and has her own special rosebush in one shady corner of the garden. She's being extra careful today, having put her nose up to a big, red rose and surprised a large bumble-bee who was hard at work gathering nectar. I'm not sure who was more scared, Blossom or the bee! She's picked a beautiful pink rose from her own rosebush to give to her mum, but it seems that someone else is interested in it, and after her encounter with the bee, she's not quite sure what to do. Perhaps butterflies are harmless - but it's rather large, and it doesn't seem to want to fly off again . . . Blossom is made from ivory German mohair, and has been hand-shaded to bring out her cute features. Her nose is embroidered with perle cotton, and she has beads for eyes. She's filled with steel shot and polyfill, which gives her a lifelike, weighty feel. She's fully thread jointed, for lots of posing possibilities, and her paw-pads have been handpainted. Standing (which she can do all by herself), she's approximately 5" tall. Blossom is a "1 of 1" artist bear - none of my bears are exactly the same, as they are all hand-stitched and have their own unique character. |
