Who can resist the scent of a honeysuckle vine in full bloom? The bees can't, certainly; and little Honeysuckle finds it irresistible, too. On a warm summer evening, if you look carefully, you may be lucky enough to spot her fluttering among the scrambling stems, gathering Faery dust to weave her magic. Honeysuckle is made from sparse, curly, tipped fawn mohair, with a perle cotton nose and black glass eyes. She's stuffed with polyfill and steel shot, giving her a lifelike, weighty feel, and she's firmly thread-jointed. Standing, she's about 4" (10 cm) tall. Her wings, which are detachable, are hand-made and trimmed with white swansdown; and they're hand-painted with the distinctive markings of the Clouded Yellow butterfly. Her head-dress of flowers is also hand-made. Honeysuckle is a "1 of 1" artist bear - none of my bears are exactly the same, as they are all hand-stitched and have their own unique character. She comes with a hang-tag and heart; and, of course, with her wings, her wand, her floral headress and her bag of Faery dust. |
