Moth

Moth among the stars! Moth flies by night, her soft wings making no noise in the warm still air of a late Summer evening. The Elves are long gone into the ancient West, and the Dwarves are seldom encountered even by those who venture into the mountains; but the Faeries are still to be seen, if you know where to look (and if you're willing to wait very, very quietly).
Gathering Faery dust When all the Big Folk are in bed, and there's no-one around apart from the occasional neighbourhood cat, Moth slips into the sleeping garden. Around the night-scented stocks and fragrant roses, she gathers the Faery dust to weave her magic.

If you're ever out in the garden on a beautiful starlit Summer night, listen for the fluttering of soft wings. It may just be a moth; but then again, it may be Moth!
Moth Moth is made from silver sparse wavy mohair and measures approximately 4 inches high when standing - which she can do all by herself! Her wings, which are detachable, are hand-made and trimmed with grey swansdown. They are hand-painted with the distinctive markings of the Apollo butterfly.
Moth Moth
She is thread jointed and is filled with polyester and steel shot, so she's heavy, floppy and poseable. She has an embroidered nose and black glass eyes.

Moth is part of my "Faery Bearies" collection, and is a "1 of 1" artist bear.
