Pascal is a clever little cub. Here he is with his favourite toy, his very own abacus. He's not quite old enough to go to school yet, but all the same, he can count pretty well - he gets lost after about 50, but he hopes to get to the magic hundred before too long! When he's done that, it's on into uncharted territory. It's hard work for a little bear, but he's determined; and his ambition is to keep counting until he runs out of numbers altogether. The idea doesn't worry him - once he reaches the last one, he plans to start counting backwards; and then he might try adding some together, to see if he can make even bigger numbers. You never know, there could be a Fields Medal in it for him! Pascal is made from dark chocolate brown German mohair, and has been hand-shaded to bring out his cute features. His nose is embroidered with perle cotton, and he has black glass eyes. He's filled with steel shot and polyfill, which gives him a lifelike, weighty feel. He has a cotter-pin joint for his head, and his arms and legs are thread jointed, for lots of posing possibilities. His paw-pads have been handpainted. Standing (which he can do all by himself), he's approximately 5" tall. Pascal is a "1 of 1" artist bear - none of my bears are exactly the same, as they are all hand-stitched and have their own unique character. |
