Sometimes it's a good thing to 'blow your own trumpet', as they say - and certainly, if you're as good as Satchmo, it would be a shame not to. Not that he's big-headed about his own abilities - he just loves to play, that's all. He's a cheerful soul, and if he can make somebody's day a bit brighter with a song, a smile, and some swingin' jazz, then everyone's happy. He's an incorrigible optimist - and why not, after all? Whatever happens, for Satchmo, it's a wonderful world.
	Satchmo is made from dense two-tone tan and chocolate brown mohair. He has black glass eyes and a perle cotton nose, and his paw-pads are made from clipped mohair. He has a cotter-pin joint for his head, and his arms and legs are securely thread-jointed, for lots of posing possibilities. He's stuffed with polyfill and steel shot, giving him a lifelike, weighty feel. Standing (which he can do all by himself), he's about 5" (12.5 cm) tall. He's wearing a hand-tailored waistcoat of red felt, with red buttons.
	Satchmo is a one-of-a-kind artist bear - none of my bears are exactly the same, as they're all hand-sewn and have their own unique character. He comes complete with a hang-tag and a heart; and, of course, with his trusty trumpet.
