Founded by Carl Dinkelacker in 1888 the brewery is still in its original location. In 1971 it took over another Stuttgart brewery Wulle AG and in 1977 it took over another brewery Sanwald. The take-overs continued into the 1980 with Cluss in 1982. It subsequently merged Cluss with Wulle in 1988. In 1994 it joined with Schwaben Bräu to form Dinkelacker-Schwaben Bräu GmbH & Co. KG
