Eichbaum Brauereien AG

Location:         Mannheim, Germany

Website:          Eichbaum

The Eichbaum brewery was founded in 1679 by Jean du Chene, whose name means Oak Tree, hence the Germanic translation of the brewery name. The brewery was taken over in 1970 by the Henninger Group from Frankfurt although when they hit financial difficulties at the end of the 1990s the brewery was brought under the umbrella of the drinks groups Actris. In 2006 the Eichbaum brewery along with the Pirmasenser Park and Bellheimer breweries were involved in a management buy out by two members of the Actirs board.
