Flower's Brewery was founded in 1831 by Edward Flower who built the original brewery in Stratford-on-Avon, hence the usage of the William Shakespeare logo. The brewery was acquired in 1954 by J.W. Green and the name was slightly changed to Flower's Breweries. 1961 the brewery fell under the arm of the Whitbread Brewery. The brewery was closed in 1968 and production of the Flower's brands were done at Whitbread's Cheltenham brewery
