The Gaffel Brewery has a history traceable back to 1302 along with the history of brewing in Cologne but it wasn't until 1908 that the Becker brothers started a brewhouse called "In der Gaffel". The brewery is still privately owned and in the hands of the 4th generation of Beckers.
