Brouwerij De Gouden Boom

Location:         Bruges, Belgium

Website:          De Gouden Boom

Brewing has been going on on the spot where the Gouden Boom brewery is today since 1455. The brewery is currently under the control of Palm Breweries of Steenhuffel. That said the 'Brugs' brand is owned and produced by both Alken-Maes and Kronenbourg, both breweries belong the the Scottish & Newcastle group.

Fellow collector Peter Tent gave me the clues to track this beer down as originating from the brewery "De Gouden Boom"

The Lords of Bruges established the Gruuthuse and this is now a famous museum in Bruges.

I have found the following label on the internet with proves the glass's provenance.
