Founded by Cord Hinrich Haake in 1828 under the name of C.H. Haake Brauerei. In 1918 it was taken over by the Hemelinger Aktien Braueri. At the same time it took over the Kaiserbrauerei Beck & Co. and in 1921 was renamed as Haake-Beck Brauerei AG. In 1937 it took over the Winterhuder brewery in Hamburg. It came under the ownership of InBev when they took over Haake-Beck and Becks in 2002.
