Founded in the town of Jever back in 1848 when Diedrich
König opened a micro-brewery. After his death the brewery was sold by his sone
to Theodor Fetköter. In 1922 the brewery was sold to the
Bavaria St Pauli brewery in Hamburg. Bavaria St Pauli went through many
different hands until it was sold to Brau & Brunnen in 1994 and it is this
company that still owns the Jever Brewery.
