Koutaris Fix

The Koutaris Fix brewery was founded in 1864 in the Kolonaki area of Athens. The founder, a Bavarian by the name of Fuchs, who had originally been the personal brewmaster of the newly appointed King of Greece. The brewery was transferred to Sigrou Highway in 1893. When the big boys of Heineken, Carlsberg and Amstel moved into Greece Fix eventually went out of business. The name however has been resurrected by wine-maker Kourtakis in 2000.
