Location:         Lüneburg, Germany

Website:          Lüneburger Kronen cafe & restaurant

The Lüneburger Kronen-Brauerei was first founded in 1485 by Thomas Lampe. It's most famous beers were the Lüneburger Kronen-Pilsener and Moravia Pilsener. In 1974 the brewery was taken over by the Holsten Brewery from nearby Hamburg. The site of the Brewery is now a museum for the Holsten Group which was opened in 1985. There is also a brew-pub and resturant trading under the Lüneburger Kronen name. A majority shareholding in Holsten itself was acquired by Carlsberg in 2004.
