Brasserie Saint-Guibert

Founded in 1858 by Perre-Joseph Grade it introduced it most well known product, Vieux Temps in 1930. In order to fulfil the demand for the beer the brewery made a deal with the Du Bois brewery from Lebbke to brew Vieux Temps. The arrangement lasted until 1968 when the brewery at Lebbke closed. In 1970 the brewery began a new agreement with Artois in Leuven to develop Vieux Temps. By the temp Interbrew had come into being the writing was on the wall for Saint-Guibert and it closed in 1996.
