Private Weissbierbrauerei G. Schneider & Sohn GmbH

Location:         Kelheim, Bavaria, Germany

Website:          Schneider Brewery

The founders of the Schneider Brewery had their origins in Munich where George Schneider was the tenant of the Königlich Weissen Hofbräuhauses. Together with his son, George, he began to brew the "White Beer" that the brewery is now so famous for. The 20th century saw the brewery go from strength to strength under the supervision of future generations of Schneiders. In the 1920s the brewery took over the Straubing brewery and the brewhouse in Kelheim. The second world war brought about the need to move from Munich and the brewery was relocated to Kelheim. The brewery is currently in the hands of the 6th generation of George Schneiders.
