The Schwabenbräu brewery was founded in 1823 in Düsseldorf. In 1932 it took over one of the small town breweries owned by the Schlösser family. In 1940 it merged with the Dietrich brewery to form the Düsseldorfer Brauhaus. In 1974 the brewery was renamed to the Brauerei Schlösser GmbH.
