Shaw Wallace was established back in 1886 in Calcutta. I
can't find much information about the history of the company but it was involved
with the production of spirits as much as beer. In 2003
SABMiller bought Shaw Wallace's beer portfolio whilst the sprits division
was bought in 2005 by United Breweries, the
major beer producer in India. In the UK the beer was produced by
The Far East Beer company.
