Tsingtao Brewery

Location: Qingdao, China
Website: Tsingtao
The Tsingtoa Brewery was founded in 1903 by a
German/British joint venture. In 1915 it was taken over from its German
management and until 1945 was under Japanese control. After the second world war
the brewery was under Chinese control as a state owned enterprise. The company
was privatised in the early 1990s and in 1993 it merged with three other Quigdao
based breweries. Just over a quater of the brewery is owned by
Anheuser-Busch.
