Hofbrauhaus Wolters GmbH

Location: Brunswick, Germany
Website: Wolters
Founded in 1627, the Wolters Brewery received the name of the Herzogliches Hofbrauhaus (Duke's Brewery) in 1882. In 1985 the Gilde Brewery of Hannover owned a majority share in the brewery and when Gilde was taken over by Interbrew in 2003, so by association, was Wolters. But in 2006 a management buy out saw the company re-emerge as "Hofbrauhaus Wolters GmbH" with the city of Brunswick itself purchasing the brewery premises from InBev.
