Young's Brewery was formed in 1830 although brewing on the
site of the Ram Brewery has been going on since 1581. In 2006 Young's and
Charles Wells announced a deal to brew Young's beer at the Charles Wells plant in
Bedfordshire under the name of a new company, Wells & Young's Brewing Co Ltd.
Young's will continue as a pub group.
