This programme and sample materials provide pupils at the earliest stages of learning English with additional opportunities to develop basic communicative English. Some sample materials are Word documents, others link to online activities or lesson plans on the internet which open in new windows. Many of the Word documents contain images and so may take some time to download. 

This programme is intended as a starting point for teachers new to working with beginner pupils - to provide activities for learners, give ideas for teachers to develop their own resources and highlight some of the materials available on the web. The sample activities here are most suitable for KS2 early stage EAL learners.
