Readers Rides

This section is dedicated to other guys & gals(?) and their creations. I have met most of these dudes & dudetts(?) online on the web since taking up this fascinating sport.
This is Joachim - AKA "Breeze". This lad lives in Belgium. Some one has nicked his buggy and he has not realized!!! Seriously though - this is how he started his project.

On the right is his buggy nearly complete with VFR 750 V4 motor. It's not an Edge design - its loosely designed around plans from Badland buggys in the USA but Joachim is changing a few things to suit his tastes. See his website in my Links section

This is Marks Trax 2 or was!!! Mark got fed up with the "no suspension" rough ride of the Trax. He stripped it, started to adapt the frame to add suspension, then got fed up - Look to the right - he killed it!!
But the story goes on... Mark has got the bug and has now started to build a Sidewinder. This is his first component - the swing arm. And this brake disc looks really "Trick".... I want one for my winder Mark ;-).... Mark lives close by to me. I hope to be offroading with him as soon as he's completed his build.
A week on and my god - Marks making progress!! This is Marks Sidewinder frame. He`s soon got this together. I met Mark recently - he`s a top guy. He even fetched me a little something that will help me with my next buggy. Cheers Mark!! Keep up the good work dude!
Next up is Olivers buggy.
Man this dude and his mate are mad!!!
Oliver lives in the Birmingham area of UK.
Just look these buggys "catching air"!!!
I reckon Oliver needs a pilots licence... What do you think??
And this buggy is Marks - AKA "Cord". Mark is from Preston in the U.K.
And these two buggys belong to Marks mates. Very tidy machines!
This VFr800 powered Piranha belongs to Chris Rustle
This nice Sidewinder belongs to Dave Hepburn
This unusual design uses a scooter engine. It`s Erez`s first attempt at a buggy
This buggy belongs to Andy Bennett from Warwickshire in the UK. He helps out farmers so uses this to get into the fields. It has a 150cc 4 stroke motor.
This is Palo Stevens`s creation. It was built for an A level school project
This is "Gadgers" creation. He`s also got a couple of mates building Sidewinders.
At 13 years old, the buggy above was Shanes 1st go at building a buggy. It has a 50cc engine and I`m told it will do 35 MPH. Not a bad effort on very limited tools.
The buggy on the right is "work in progress".

It belongs to Barry Hopwood. I will post more pictures/details of this buggy as Barry lets me have them.

The buggy on the left is also "work in progress". It is a "Badland Buggies"design. It belongs to Neil McCulloch from bonny Scotland. He intends to fit an FZR600 engine to this buggy from a motorcycle he has managed to crash!!
The Sidewinder to the right is being created by "Chuk and Kitch" from Northamptonshire. I`ve been told it`s going to be powerd by a Yamaha XT650 motor. It should be an awsume machine when finished

Note

If you buggy appears on this site as "under construction" can you please e-mail me with any undate pictures so I can show all the readers how your project is going. Also, if there are any people out there with video footage of thier project running, let me have that too i`l edit it up and post that in the video section. If you are not sure how to send it to me, just e-mail me for advice.

And remember:-

KEEP UP THE

GOOD WORK GUYS

The buggy above is a GPZ1100 powered Pirhana!! Kevin Dunning from Norfolk UK, who is the proud owner, tells me he has spent the last few years building it and adds "its pretty mad to drive". I bet it is Kev!!!
