PROGRAMME REPORT 2005 - 2006 |
| 21/09/2005 | At the last meeting Pierino Algieri DPAGB gave an excellent talk in which he showed us images from his recent Electric Mountain Exhibition which was held in Llanberis, every photograph had an interesting story or was technically explained and the evening was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The next meeting will be on Oct 5th and will be entitled 'Gold Star Gate' by Llew Williams, his account of Vietnam. |
| 05/10/2005 | The last meeting was entitled 'Gold Star Gate' by Llew Williams and was his account of travelling through Vietnam from North to South, it included some moving as well as humorous images. |
| 26/10/05 | The last meeting was the Club's Open Competition which was judged by the Club members themselves. The results will be announced at the next meeting. On Nov 2nd the NWPA Print Folio will be shown, a collection of work from all the photographic clubs in North Wales |
| 2/11/05 | The last meeting was the NWPA Print Folio, a collection of work from all the photographic clubs in North Wales. Also the results of the recent competition was announced, they were Beginners Prints: 1st Stephen Rees, 2nd Gary Jones, joint 3rd Neil Adam and Gary Jones. Advanced Prints: 1st Nigel Williams, 2nd Nigel Beidas, 3rd Nigel Williams. Slides: 1st Berwyn Williams, 2nd Berwyn Williams, Joint 3rd Berwyn Williams and Emyr Roberts.The next meeting will be on Nov 16th entitled 'Celtic Dream' by David Neal AFIAP, DPAGB, BPE4, PSA2 |
| 16/11/05 | David Neal AFIAP, DPAGB, BPE4, PSA2 visited the Club and gave a audio visual entitled 'Celtic Dream'. His images were of Wales, Scotland and Cornwall. |
| 30/11/05 | The NWPA Slide Folio was shown. It is a collection of slides by all the Clubs in the North Wales Photographic Association accompanied by a taped commentary. It is not a competition but a chance for Clubs to show off their members work. |
| 14/12/05 | A portrait evening where Colwyn Bay based model Anna again visited the Club (She modelled for us last year). The Club had a better background this time thanks to Nigel Williams - who also supplied the studio lights. Click here to see what goes on at a portrait evening. Mince pies and refreshments were provided by Neil and Maggie Adam. |
| 11/01/06 | At the last meeting a demonstration was given by Maggie Adam showing how to mask transparencies by using either kitchen foil or black negative film. Also Emyr Roberts demonstrated how to mount photographic prints. Also various Photoshop techniques were discussed such as how to make a test strip before printing. |
