8th a group of
31 people from
across the five
parishes
travelled to
Holy Island for
a three day visit. We all had a wonderful time. Six of us braved the wind and cold for the bare foot walk across the Pilgrim Way. Many of us enjoyed the Holy Communion services in the beautiful church, especially the Ascension Day service on the Thursday morning. Most of us took the opportunity to do some walking, and the scenery, which you will see in the photos, was absolutely spectacular. The weather wasn't as good as last year, it was rather cool and misty most of the time, but then you don't go to Holy Island for the weather, do you?! The locals made us very welcome, especially in the Ship Inn which most of us frequented at some time or other! To see them, click here |
