Sathya Sai Baba

If you've never heard of Sai Baba then you might be surprised to learn that he is regarded by millions of otherwise intelligent people across the globe as God Incarnate. His devotees believe he is omnipotent and omniscient. They believe that he will answer all your prayers, even of the most materialistic kind. Of course, you will not always get what you ask for but that too is for your best advantage - Baba knows best after all.

This page is intended for those who have come under Sai Baba's confusing influence. It contains direct evidence that he is not omniscient and that deceit has been practised to cover this up.

Sai Baba was wrong…

In 1979 I went to Sai Baba's ashram. He impacted strongly on my psychic landscape, appearing in dreams on and off ever since. This is taken as highly significant by devotees but most of these dreams are absurd nonsense and there is no reason to read into them any more than what they appear to be.

Sai Baba is regarded by his devotees as omniscient. This is a claim that he wouldn't contradict. Here is a passage from "Conversations with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba":

Since Swami has taken body, he has imposed certain proper limitations on himself. Swami has created idols of gold, and could just as easily create a mountain of gold. But then the Government would surround him and let nobody through. In Baba's life up to 16 years, leelas; age 16 to 35, 'miracles'; age 35 to 60, teaching and 'miracles'; after age 60, beyond the public. But even after age 60, his close devotees may see him. He will tell the Government they are his. This body will live to age 96, and will remain young.

This is from page 104 of the 2nd impression, 1978. I visited Baba again 15 years later. Would even the most brain-dead of devotees argue that he hadn't aged? He certainly has. Is he beyond the public? Well as far as I know to this day he still performs his teachings and 'miracles' (the inverted commas as reproduced as in the original text) and is no more "beyond the public" than he ever was. And how did the Government take to being told that "they are his"? I checked the above passage in the latest edition of "Conversations with Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba" when I was at the ashram in the early 90's. I don't have a current edition in front of me now and I leave the interested reader to check for themselves. Needless to say what Sai Baba said in 1968 seems to vary depending on the edition of the book.

There have been accusations of fraudulence and sexual misbehaviour levelled at Sai Baba. In this case we have clear evidence that he not only made a prediction which was wrong but there has been an attempt to cover it up.

India is renowned as a cradle of spirituality but it is also a land of fairy tales and what could be described as charismatic magic. Spirituality has nothing to do with fairy tales and magic of any kind. This should be obvious to any visitor to Sai Baba's ashrams. There's a certain magic in the air but what the devotees consider, in their empty-eyed way, to be faith and devotion is nothing more than retrogressive infantile behaviour. Sitting for hours in the hope of a glimpse of Baba or better still a glimpse from him. Will he take my letter? Will he grant me an interview? When it gets down to it this is all that matters to the extent that some devotees are quite prepared to offer their children up to the possibility of paedophile exploitation if it will secure an interview.

This has nothing to do with spirituality. It is extremely sad behaviour. The intelligence which should protect our psyche the way that our auto-immune system should protect our body has itself become corrupted. Our basic common sense has been sacrificed on the altar of 'faith and devotion' and turned against us. Only it isn't faith and devotion. It's plain stupidity.

Click here to download a movie from the official Sai Baba website. It shows Sai Baba 'materialising' an egg-shaped lingam from his stomach. Play it in loop mode. I wondering what he's really doing with that towel? Here is an opportunity for the most ardent of devotees to reclaim their intelligence.
