My Family, "The Biswell's" all lived in a village called "Waddesdon" which is in the county of Buckinghamshire in England

The first record of the name" Biswell" to be recorded there was in 1690, there are still Biswell's living there now.

(remember that very few people who were working class could read or write in these times, so the spelling is that of others who had to decide how to spell the name told to them )

William Bissel or Biswell of Shabbingdon My Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather married

Elizabeth Jones of Charlton on Otmoor on the 26th January1745 and they had 7 children they were;

William Biswell or Bissel Christened 26th February 1745, (that was a close call in those days)

Francis Biswell or Bissel Christened 24th March 1750

Thomas Biswell or Bissel Christened 31st March 1755

Samuel Biswell or Bissel Christened 23rd September1759

Sarah Elizabeth Biswell If anyone knows anything about Sarah Elizabeth, who was born in Staveley, Derbyshire about 1875 and living with her grandfather Henry Taylor and grandmother Sarah Taylor in Silk Street, Waddesdon in 1881.Any information on who she married, any children that she had, date of death etc. and could let me know I would be very pleased, Thanks Shawn

I have now found out that Elizabeth's name was Sarah Elizabeth Biswell and in 1891 aged 16 was a kitchen maid in a house of a famous Professor William Crookes at 7 Kensington Park Road, London. The next census in 1901 she was a cook in a house for a silk merchant a Mr. Richard Sonnethal at 24 Quex Road Hampstead, she is not married in that census, but is about 26 years old, she could have found someone after the census was taken, do you know what happened to her, did she die a spinster or did she marry and have a family, was she all alone throughout her life, I wonder where is she buried, who paid for her funeral? I would like to bring her memory to be here with us. Please help me add her to my tree if you can
