In Dearest Memory

of

Connie Marie Williams

"Little 'Onnie"

8th February2002 - 8th January 2003

RIP

Dear Connie died in her sleep

 Aged 11 months

and now

   lives with Jesus in Heaven

Bless all the dear children,
In thy tender care.
And take them to heaven,
To be with thee there.

Dear Connie,

Little did I know that morning,
God was going to call your name.
In life, we loved you dearly,
In death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to loose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side.

Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the  same.
But God calls us home one by one,
And then the chain will link again.

Tears

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane
We could walk all the way to heaven, to bring you home again.

No farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye,
You were gone before we knew it, and only god knows why.

Our hearts still ache in sadness, and secret tears will flow,
What it means to have lost you, no one will EVER know!

A Poem for Connie

 By Mary Norman her Aunty

We had another little girl once

Connie was her name

We thought she had a lifetime

But in the night He came

- -

You may wonder whom I speak of

But we all know His name

He is our own sweet Savior

Jesus Christ the same

---

He came and took our Connie

Just like a thief in the night

And now she is our treasure

Held by Him, somewhere out of sight

---

We know that at the Last Trump

He will raise you first

And place you on your white horse

To ride with us, back to reign on earth

  "When God Calls Little Children"

When god calls little children
to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometime question
the wisdom of his love

For no heartache compares with
the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world,
seem wonderful and mild

Perhaps God tires of calling
the aged to his fold,
So He picks a rosebud,
before she can grow old.

God knows how much we need them,
and so he takes but a few
to make the land of Heaven
more beautiful to view.

Believing this is difficult still
somehow we must try,
The saddest word mankind knows
will always be "Goodbye."

So when a little child departs
we are left behind
must realize God loves children,
Angels are hard to find.

8 years ago I was working a 16 hour shift, when I got home Beccy and I watched a film together, we then went to bed and I was up at 05.30 for work, at 10am I had a call telling me I had to come back to the garage, little did I know then what had happened, I miss you so much my little girl, if only I had not always been at work, I could have had some more time with you, not a single day goes by without you in it, love always, dad x

Because Her older sister Lia couldn't pronounce

the C in Connie, she called her

"Little 'Onnie"

Connie was born just a few days before our own Grandchild Rebecca who's birthday is on the 13th February
