There is an entry on Page 95 in the UK Book of Remembrance held at the National Army Museum which reads:

The Royal Ulster Rifles : Rifleman M Foster

There is an entry in the Army Historical Branch's Roll of Honour which reads:

Number 5383656
Rank Rfn
Name FOSTER, Mark
Unit RUR
Date of Death 03.01.51
Commemorated or Buried Pusan-Plot 17, Row 4, Grave No. 725

The headstone of the grave location given by the Army's Roll of Honour entry above as that of Rifleman M Foster is in fact that of an Unknown Soldier (picture below). The explanation is, presumably, that the identification of a body previously buried as Rifleman Foster's was rescinded, and it is now the view of the Ministry of Defence that it could not be established with certainty that the grave is that of Rifleman Foster. However, some records were not amended, and the register of graves at the UN Memorial Cemetery as well as the Roll of Honour still show the grave as that of Rifleman Foster. This explanation is supported by the fact that Rifleman Foster's name has been added to the end of Plaque 8 out of alphabetical order.
