About Us - Instructor Profiles
Kate Hedges Kate is the lead instructor and director of Blue Skies. Following her vision she trained in America at the WOLF School. For nearly 10 years Kate has been running courses for varied client groups in wilderness survival, nature awareness and primitive living. She hopes that these experiences will empower students to create deeper connections with themselves, nature and community. Kate holds current outdoor education, first aid and Forest School level 3 qualifications. Adele Clarke Adele is a qualified teacher and now spends her days home educating her 3 children. Adele has trained in Earth Skills by Blue Skies and Trackways. In addition she has studied Earth Sciences, Ecology, Botany, Physics, Archaeology, Spiritual traditions, Shamanism, Indigenous wisdom, and brings much knowledge to our classes. Adele holds current first aid and Forest School level 3 qualifications. Elizabeth Mueller Elizabeth grew up in the beautiful Border countryside where she fostered a real link to the land and has recently studied herbal medicine. Elizabeth is excited about using practical and fun ways to help people connect with Nature and their own creativity. With a wealth of interests including food, healing, earth skills and music, she is looking forward to sharing and learning together with the group. George Jamieson George is an Edinburgh taxidermist. He is qualified as a Mountain Leader and works as a part-time instructor for a Survival School in the Brecon Beacons. He has a lifelong interest in wildlife and animal behaviour, and a strong desire to let others see the beauty and reality of the natural world and to try and instill in them an interest in preserving the wilderness and to learn a respect for it.
