Comet LulinOfficially known as C/2007 N3, discovered by Chinese astronomers. It passes close to Earth and does so with some speed, so that even at 120sec exposure sub frames, trailing can be seen in the head. The surrounding stars are absent because I median stacked the sub frames. This compares each frame with the next and removes lit pixels that don't appear in both frames.
Taken at Austerfield on 1.3.09 with an 80ED and SX M25C, acquired and processed in AstroArt and Photoshop.
