Venus
- 090310Taken with a webcam and the Meade 14" at native focal length, on the 10th of March '09. The crescent is much thinner than that seen on the 10th of February, below, and will continue to slim through the month.
The planet was very low and shimmering violently so I had to try several times before I got something worth processing. It was also during the visit of some children from a local Special school. They seemed to enjoy their evening looking at Venus, "No, it's the Moon" they all said, till they saw the real Moon rising in the east behind them.
