PUB DESCRIPTION :
a famous largely unspoilt old Melbourne house Opened in 1842, it was first called the New Inn. In1865 renamed the Redan & Malakoff, but went back to the New Inn in1867. Only 1886 was renamed The Black Rock. Blue plaque for Archbishop John Potter who grew up here when it was a draper's shop

located on a paved precinct between the Cathedral and Westgate
