2008 LIQUORICE FESTIVAL, SATURDAY 12 & SUNDAY 13 JULY

As Antix is currently awaiting a new licensee, Tomlinsons Three Sieges Liquorice Stout on draught will be available principally at the Liquorice Bush on Market Place. The bottled product will be available on the Saturday from Sean's own stand in the Market Place and from Farmer Copley's and the Jacobean Pub at Rogerthorpe Manor, Badsworth

DETAILS OF THE PONTEFRACT PUBS WHICH WERE EXPECTED HAVE TOMLINSONS LIQUORICE STOUT ON SALE DURING THE 2007 LIQUORICE FESTIVAL

Message from Sean & Tracy Tomlinson:

The main two pubs in Ponte that are taking a good amount are Antix on Horsefair (the ex Tap +Spile) and the Liquorice Bush. These pubs will have it right through the event from the 6th July to the 16th at least. The Robin Hood is also down for one and also the Malt Shovel for two firkins, possibly the Red Lion also. Farmer Copleys on Pontefract Road have been taking the bottles for their farm shop and will continue to do so on a permanent basis. We will have our own stall at the Valley Gardens on the 14th July and in the Market Place on the 15th for the Liquorice Fest to promote the bottled beer.

With the appalling weather over the festival period, Liquorice Stout may have been available for a longer time - it usually sells out pretty fast! It will almost certainly be a big draw again at the 2008 Liquorice Festival.
