SingUp Secondary School Groups



Past Performances

Changeling run secondary school singing groups in three schools, King James 1 Community School in Bishop Auckland, Tudhoe Grange in Spennymoor and Willington Parkside, Willington.

In April 2009 they came together to perform 'The Happy Hour', a rewrite of John Gay's 18th century ballad opera set in current day County Durham.

This production received additional funding from Arts Council England and Awards for All, allowing us to fully stage the work, employ a professional director and set designer and professional musicians to work with student musicians in the band.

  • 1st April - Spennymoor Town Hall

  • 2nd April - Willington Parkside School

  • 3rd April - Bishop Auckland Town Hall

    • In December 2008, the secondary school groups gave a concert on the theme of homelessness in Willington Parkside school.
