Ann "Dulcie" Whitham RIP

It is with great sadness that I have to advise you that Ann passed away (aged 70) on 22nd January as a result of a pulmonary embolism. Ann had been ill for a while resultant of a fall at home last year, which took longer to heal due to asthma preventing an operation. Ann was recovering well prior to her sudden death. Along with her husband John, Ann has been a Brats member for seven years and was a larger than life character, always full of high spirits (not to mention the Gold Label!). Nicknamed "Dulcie" by Brian and Heppy, Ann really enjoyed attending Brats meetings and supporting events. She leaves behind John and daughter Adele. She will be sadly missed! A number of us went to the funeral, which was extremely well attended as Ann was such a popular character. Hopefully John will come along to meetings once again as he has spent the last couple of years recovering from a heart attack and nursing Ann. John Burton |
