At the Laurel and HarDay I handed over the Sons' Laurel and Hardy Charity Fund to Chris Coffey and the committee he has formed, owing to the fact that I have not been too well this year. I know they will do a good job. Chris will see to that and there will be some young people involved. However, I will still be able to answer contributions as Chris is going to inform me of all the donations. So I will be keeping in touch, but Chris and Company will give you all the updates.

In August I sent out nine cheques, each for £200:

Ataxia: Chris Coffey suffers from this disease.
Cystic Fibrosis: Matthew Light suffers from this disease.
Parkinson's Disease: Barry Boyd suffers from this disease.
Motor Neurone Disease: In memory of Joyce Sugden.
Williams Syndrome: Sorry, I have forgotten the requester.
Support for our Forces:
British Legion.
Royal Air Force Association.
SSAFA.
Lifeboats.

Congratulations to all the tents who have contributed in any way to our Charity Fund. What good news that we can give so much, ie £1,800 to struggling charities. It amazes me how much voluntary contributions achieve.

The balance after these cheques have been issued is £226.66. Up to going to press we have given £26,962 to worthy charities. I am so very proud of this and hope that you are too. Thank you so very much for your support.
