One of the highlights to experience when you are a Laurel and Hardy memorabilia collector like me is to reach a new milestone. Recently, I surpassed 500 different Laurel and Hardy comic books in my collection. These are mostly "standard" sized, paper comic books. In about 1990, when I started collecting Laurel and Hardy memorabilia seriously, one of the areas I concentrated on was comics published and released in the USA but, unfortunately, there are not many of these. I have all fifteen of them. No USA comic publisher has issued a standard Laurel and Hardy comic in twenty years.

Some of the other countries that published Laurel and Hardy comic books which I have represented in my collection are England, Holland, India, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Italy, France, Norway, Germany, Luxembourg, Mexico, Canada and Greece. The two countries who have been the most prolific are Holland and England, with Germany and France not far behind. These comics, of course, are published in their native languages. Mostly, they are numbered and released in series.

Almost all of these comic books are in full, vibrant colour &endash; all the more reason to enjoy collecting them.

I also have many dozens of Laurel and Hardy comics that fall into "other" categor-ies, such as oversized, minis, specials, paper-backs, annuals, hardbacks, etc. Many of these are unusual and unique, and often are considered more collectible and valuable than the standard Laurel and Hardy comics.
