Did any of you watch The
Peter Serafinowicz Show (BBC2, 01.11.07.). He
did a Laurel and Hardy parody in which he played
Stan, using the original title screen and
incidental music, and grainy black and white film.
It was a really good one. But I am sure it will go
down badly with many Sons. Why? After "Ollie" hit
"Stan" with a spanner, every sentence of Stan's
included a variation on the "f" word. I personally
saw that it was a loving parody - not like Harry
Enfield's.

I know that some people will
be offended by the sketch, but I thought it was
hilarious. Cindy, my wife, thought it was
hilarious, and I'm pretty xxxxxxx sure that Stan
and Ollie would have found it funny too.

I have been watching
Blazing Saddles on ITV 4.
In one scene the mayor is
making a presentation of
a laurel to someone and
says, "Welcome, and
please accept a Laurel
(pause) and Hardy handshake.
In another scene, a character says,
"He's overstepping his bounds."
So, obviously, Mel Brooks
or someone was a fan of
the Boys.
