Lookalikes Gary Slade and Rob Graham have been working with Ken Dodd and Ricky Tomlinson for charity. Gary updates us, "We went to the Ricky Tomlinson charity show on 13th February at the Liverpool Empire. We took Mrs Hardy and a friend called Claire, who is a member of the Midnight Patrol 2 Tent. They really had a great time and we all went to the after-show party at a hotel nearby.

"Mrs Hardy and Claire loved meeting Atomic Kitten's Liz McClarnon, who was just like Jeanie Weenie, travelled all over the world and loved by everyone. I wish she was mine all mine. Roy Walker from Catchphrase was telling us that he went to see the Boys in 1954 when he lived in Ireland. Roy spent ages going over the films as he is a great fan."

Charlie Landsborough was there and he loves the Boys.

Gary continues, "We also met another great fan of the Boys - Gerry Marsden from Gerry and the Pacemakers. Gerry told us that he had every film of Laurel and Hardy. He must be the one who has The Rogue Song and Hats Off! I showed him my tattoo of Laurel and Hardy on my arm and he was gob-smacked. He may have all the films, but he did not know that Ollie never said, 'Another fine mess' ".
