Laurel & Hardy Archive

Russell Babidge lives and works in England and has been a lifelong fan of the Boys. He has been working for the last eighteen months with colleges in New York (who work directly for Richard Feiner and Company Inc) to put together the Laurel and Hardy Archive, a new website that will feature thousands of original Laurel and Hardy materials including over 4,000 original stills, 100s of scripts, thousands of letters and original documentation including contracts direct from the Hal Roach studios when they closed their doors in 1963.

Russell says, "The website was scheduled for release in February, but it was decided to rebuild the back end of the site to fall in line with the latest mobile technology. The site is now planned for release on Stan's birthday, 16th June 2008, but with these new features it will be worth the wait."

He has produced an interactive PDF which explains the full workings of the new website and this can be viewed at http://www.laurel andhardyarchive.com, where you can register free.

There is also some very exciting news about the Laurel & Hardy book by McCabe/Kilgore/Bann, and the new Digital Download of a serialised book Hal Roach Presents the Lot of Fun. All is clarified on the PDF.
