Convention 2006 (13 minutes) One of the special things
about the UK Convention in 2006 was that it marked
the centenary of Stan Laurel's stage début,
at the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall in Glasgow.
The conclave visited this theatre and was given a
special stage show to mark the centenary. The
convention was hosted by the Blockheads Tent of
Edinburgh and included an opening cabaret, a visit
to the Falkirk Wheel and to the Scottish
Parliament. A hypnotist added to the mischief and
also included were the traditional Fancy Dress
Contest and the Intra-Tent Quiz. These items are
rounded off with a Rogues' Gallery of most of the
attendees. Laurel and
HarDay 2005 (8 minutes) The annual event in Wigan had
Jean Darling (of Our Gang and Babes in Toyland) as
a special guest and she recalled some of her
encounters with Stan Laurel. The Charity Auction
and the Kneesie-Earsie-Nosey Contest (with some
controversy) are included here. A promotional item
encouraged Sons to see Oliver Hardy's home town
during the 2006 International Convention in

European Convention 2005 (2 minutes) Members of the medical
profession were on call when the County Hospital
Tent hosted the 2005 European Convention in Itzehoe
in Germany. This teaser offers a foretaste of a
