Ross Owen and Alan Campbell have been filmed as
Stan and Ollie in a five-minute film called
Shadowplay, which is being made by Carter
Ferguson. The film will be shown at 600 film
festivals around the globe and will be posted on
the Laurel and Hardy Forum.
The story revolves around a ten-year-old boy
(played by Bryan Wilson, from TV's Skins)
and his argumentative parents. Often sent to his
room out of the way of an argument, the young lad
watches Laurel and Hardy. Then strange things start
to happen.
Ross says, "We were left to improvise and mess
around with different bits of visual Laurel and
Hardy mannerisms. In his haste and under pressure
of knowing the camera was on him, Alan couldn't
think of anything else to do so he panicked and
poked me in the eye with two fingers! And I mean
poked me in the eye for real! The crew thought it
was hysterical so Carter is talking about leaving
it in."
