Universal DVDs

Universal has released four Laurel and Hardy slimline box sets, each containing four discs. They are in the shops and Play.com on the Internet offers them at £12.99 each set (RRP £19.99). There are no new films, just different packaging from earlier releases. We mentioned it a couple of months ago, but subscribers were left in the dark when no DVDs or magazines arrived. We phoned them (0845 1489 200) and said that we had heard that the set had been cancelled. They said that they had had supply problems and that, due to lack of interest, the series was being discontinued, after having issued just three editions. They added that the series might resume, in which case subscribers would be informed and would have to opt back into the system.
