In the Name of God Amen The ffourth day of August Anno Dom one thousand seven hundred and five And an the Ffourth year of the Reign of Queen Anne I Richard Brill citizen and Merchantaylor of London being sick in body but of sound mind and memory Do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following/viz/ My soul I commit into the hands of Almighty God and of his Son Jesus Christ my Redeemer through whose alone merits I hope to be saved And my body I commit to the earth desiring to be buryed at the discreation of my loving wife Elizabeth Brill and my Sister Elizabeth Chapman And as forthing my worldly Estate I dispose thereof (after my debts and ffunerall expenses discharged ) as followeth (that is to say)
Imprimis I do give and bequeath to my said loving wife Elizabeth Brill the sum of ffive hundred pounds of lawfull money of England to be paid to her within six months next after my decease
Item I give to my said wife ten pounds to buy her mourning Also I give to my said wife All the goods and ffurniture of and in belonging to my best Chamber where I now dye and also six Turfeyworf? Chairs and all my plate except my great Tankard
Item I give to my said wife Elizabeth Brill and my said sister Elizabeth Chapman All my Pewter and Brass Equally to be divided between them share and share alike
Item I do give to my loving Nephew Richard Chapman my great Siver Tankard
Item I do give all the rest and residue of my household goods to my said Sister Elizabeth Chapman
Item I give to my Brother in Law John Chapman my Horse with Bridle and Saddle belonging
The rest residue and remainder of all and singular ready moneys debts owing to me Goods chattells and Estate whatsoever and wheresoever not herein before disposed of I do wholly give wish and bequeath the same to my said loving sister Elizabeth Chapman Executrix and her husband the said John Chapman Executor of this my last Will and Testament And lastly I do hereby revoke all former and other wills whatsoever by me made or spoken and now to stand in form but this my will only Inwitness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seal Dated the day and year first above written/ Richard Brill Signed sealed published and delivered by the Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of James Wicks Wm Sterry Elizabeth Frinch Wm. Surffett
