We'll Meet Again (1942)
Inspired by the life of British "Forces' Sweetheart" Vera Lynn, who later
became a star on BBC radio, this musical features Lynn as a woman who falls
for a Scottish soldier, but soon finds herself jilted when he leaves her for
her best friend. She leaves London and becomes a success entertaining the
troops during World War II. Geraldo, Patricia Roc also star. 84 min.
London Town (1946)
An aging music hall performer returns to London believing he's the star of a
new show. When he discovers that he's only slated to be the understudy, his
daughter sabotages the revue's star in order to get him back into the
spotlight. Lively comedy with music stars Sid Field, Kay Kendall and Petula
Clark; music by Jimmy Van Heusen and Johnny Burke. AKA: "My Heart Goes

It's A Wonderful World (1956)
Two struggling British songwriters concoct an idea to reverse a popular
song: claim it was written by an unknown foreign composer and cash in on its
success. The plan works until... Terence Morgan, George Cole, Kathleen

Kill Me Tomorrow (1957)
In this interesting crime story, a down-on-his-luck reporter decides to take
the rap for a diamond smuggler's crimes in order to raise money for his
son's eye operation. Pat O'Brien, George Coulouris, Lois Maxwell and Tommy
Steele, who also supplied the music, star. 80 min.
Rock You Sinners (1957)
Early British rock `n' roll musical about a hip disc jockey who gets his own
TV show and is catapulted to stardom. Philip Gilbert stars; music by Tony

The Golden Disc (1958)
Early British rock-and-roll musical centers on two youngsters who open a
coffee bar and recording company. Their search for a singing star becomes
unnecessary when they realize that their janitor has talent, but after the
company begins cranking out the hits, another enterprise attempts a
takeover. Lee Patterson, Mary Steele star with appearances from Sonny
Stewart's Skittle Kings, the Teddy Kennedy Group and Don Rendell's Six. AKA:

Six To Five Special (1958)
They've reached deep down into the archives for this unforgettable piece of
nostalgia, a feature based on the popular '50s British TV rock show. Stars
on hand include Petula Clark, Lonnie Donegan ("Does Your Chewing Gum Lose
Its Flavor"), John Barry, Jim Dale and Cleo Laine, as well as rock star and
historian Ian Whitcomb, who leads a discussion after the film.
