Sep 2006 The owners had done a brilliant job on a tiny property and wine and cake was waiting for us when we arrived. Good location for visiting the coast and the moors. Pub just across the road served good value food.

Aug 2006 The cottage was small but comfortable and had everything you would need. The ring binder giving information about the cottage and surrounding area along with its history was very interesting and informative. We visited many of the places, the views were incredible and the contrasts in scenery amazing. The villagers in Hinderwell were very friendly and we would definitely go again.

May 2006 Cottage very clean and tidy and perfect location for Whitby, Sandsend and Runswick Bay. Quiet location but walking distance to all the shops of Hinderwell. The cottage was very small but wonderfully presented. Lovely village with plenty of amenities which made our stay easier. Sykes Cottages were a very easy company to deal with. Booking at short notice, we thought we'd be out of luck, but Sykes found us the perfect cottage within minutes of calling them - wish I'd have found you first and saved myself hours of calling other rental agents and properties. Thank you.
